The Sultans Dinner hosted by FHTS (Students of Bsc in Hotel and Resort Management)

7th May 2012
‘The Sultans Dinner’ is a dinner night hosted by the Bsc Hotel and Resort Management students of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies. The main objective of this event is to provide an opportunity and the needed experience in the planning, organizing and execution of a live event. This event is an integral part of their studies and the successful execution of this event is vital for the completion of the Event Operations module in their degree program.
The theme of the event is mainly focused on the Maldivian traditional royal dinners that were hosted by the Maldivian Sultans, when the country was a sultanate. The dinner is on 10th May from 8 pm to 11 pm at the Sultan Park, which was one of the royal palaces of the sultans. The students are determined to create an ambience of royalty with the decorations, the service and the food served. The buffet includes traditional cuisine from Maldives, Sri Lanka and India. Live music and various displays of the royalty and Maldivian traditions will entertain the customers throughout the dinner night. The price for this event has been finalized as Mrf 200/-.
We would highly appreciate your support if you could assist the students and participate by purchasing a ticket for this event. Hence our student’s achievements define our success as individual faculties and The Maldives National University.
